Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Sauté the Sausage: In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the sliced Cajun smoked sausage. Cook until browned and heated through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add Heavy Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
5. Incorporate Parmesan: Slowly whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
6. Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked fettuccine and sausage back into the skillet. Toss until everything is well-coated in the sauce.
7. Serve: If desired, garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
